The Law Office of George Martin focuses on helping people who have been seriously injured as a result of the negligence of others. And, while we handle business-related legal problems for our injured clients, it often makes more sense to refer smaller business matters to other attorneys. And, when we do that, we sometimes hand them a link to a plain Engligh practice guide. It's not an invitation to do-it-themselves as much as confirmation that clients who understand the law are better at monitoring the work efforts of their attorneys. The problem is that in most cases the "plain English" guides are either too simplistic to be useful or, themselves, too difficult for general audiences. The one publisher that seems to be able to strike the proper balance is Nolo Press.
